BIO

Larry Reineck's artistic abilities are boundless, showing no signs of diminishing. A true prodigy, Larry’s immense musical gifts were clear from a young age. This multi-talented singer, songwriter, composer, musician, arranger and producer is blending a unique style of R&B/Soul, Jazz, Pop and Classical piano with poignant, honest songwriting, and chill inducing vocals, sure to set ablaze the music industry.

Born and raised in Illinois, Larry knew by age five that music was his passion and purpose. His love of music and the arts spanned many different outlets including acting. It was there that he realized he felt most at home on stage performing. Growing up in Illinois was surrounded by a melting pot of different music from R&B, Classical and Jazz. This, coupled with Larry ’s natural talent laid the ground-work for the multi-dimensional artist he would become. He spent the next few years crafting his art by performing as well as training classically on the piano.

With an eclectic ear and burning passion, Larry was drawn to music and artists of all shapes and forms. He was inspired by a wide array of artists from Beethoven and Chopin, to Duke Ellington, Nina Simone, Miles Davis and Ray Charles as well as R&B legends Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Donny Hathaway and Marvin Gaye. He aspired to be a ‘true’ artist, a true musician. He knew he had thoughts, feelings and words to share with the world and inspire as he was inspired.

By age 14, Larry was writing and composing, bearing his seemingly aged soul. His passion for music is evident in his work. Gripped with an inner wisdom beyond his years, Larry ’s songwriting is deeply honest and insightful. Both passion and originality ooze from his very being and make themselves known in all his endeavors. Accompanied by a unique ability to blend his formal classical piano training with elements of Broadway, Jazz and old school R&B/Soul, he has developed a unique sound and style all his own.

In 1989,  Larry released an original EP which included four tracks all of which he wrote, composed, arranged, produced and performed. The response was great and immediately following the release, Larry moved into production on his full debut album. When asked about the album, Larry says he drew from his own journey and life experiences: “Music was always there as my release, my escape from rules and restrictions. It was my refuge to write down my thoughts and experiences. Music has always been my guide through life and through my experiences, I know others will relate and share in that release, thus helping guide them through.” Already the response has been tremendous.

In 1992, he relocated to Phoenix, Arizona where he fell in love with the diversity and fervent musical energy of the city. He continues to look to the music greats for inspiration as well as fresh, original artists; “greats” in their own right. An innovative, ground breaking artist, Larry Reineck shows no signs of stopping, or slowing down for that matter. In a world where ‘true’ artists grow scarce, don’t expect to see Larry fade out anytime soon. “I plan on being around for a long, long time working both in and outside of music; exploring different paths, taking different roads through life and seeing where they lead. I see no boundaries, no limits; I think we are only limited by ourselves. I’ll always push myself to try new things…I think that’s what life is all about; taking risks, defining originality, enjoying the journey”.

Always aspiring to push the limits, if not explode through them, it seems Larry Reineck will be around for a long time. There is no telling what the future holds in and outside of music for this multi-talented ‘true’ artist.

“Music is life. Here’s to the journey”.
